Feature Stones
Recently completed projects include a number of one-off feature stones. From the landmark replica Bridgeness Slab in Bo’ness to various garden features, we can use a combination of techniques including CAD/CAM, CNC machining and hand finishing by our skilled masons.
- A freestanding garden feature stone. The rough-backed piece of whin was polished and the symbol was milled out before being enamel painted.
- We produced numerous stones to mark out the boundary of the new national park. These were milled out and the enamel shapes were fitted in.
- The slab in place on the Harbour road in Bo’ness. It’s set within our Cullalo walling.
- This shows the Latin inscription in the centre of the slab.
- Detail of the right-hand side of the slab.
- Detail of the left-hand side of the slab.
- The replica Bridgeness Slab being hand finished after many hours of CNC milling. We recreated it from a laser-scanned model that’s housed in the Museum of Scotland.
